Abstract

Abstract Nucleoside derivatives having a potent antiprotozoan activity and a reduced adverse effect and being effective in treating diseases caused by protozoan, such as 2'- and/or 5'-acylated, aralkylated or silylated 3'-deoxyinosine; allopurinol 3'-deoxyriboside; 2'- and/or 5'-acylated, aralkylated or silylated allopurinol 3'-deoxyriboside; and 2'-, 3'-, and/or 5'-acylated, aralkylated or silylated allopurinol riboside.
