Claim 8
Dependent Claim 58 words
The device as claimed in Claim 6 wherein the polyimide is represented by the general formula: wherein X is an organic group containing an aromatic group, Y is an organic group having at least one of a charge injection function, a charge transport function and light emitting function and n is an integer indicating a degree of polymerization.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 117 words
A process for producing an organic thin film electroluminescence device which comprises performing (1) a step of forming an electrode on a substrate, (2) a step of forming a charge transport layer, (3) a step of forming a light emitting layer and (4) a step of forming the opposite electrode, singly or repeatedly, wherein as a step of forming a light emitting layer or charge transport layer having at least one of a charge injection function, a charge transport function and a light emitting layer function necessary for electroluminescence, a step of forming the light emitting layer or charge transport layer by vacuum depositing a heat resistant polymer forming monomer and then polymerizing the monomer is included.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 51 words
The process as claimed in Claim 9, including a step in which the heat resistant polymer forming monomer having the electroluminescence light emitting layer function is vacuum deposited and then the monomer is polymerized to form a light emitting layer and, thereafter, the light emitting layer is subjected to patterning treatment.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 64 words
The process as claimed in Claim 9, including a step in which the heat resistant polymer forming monomer having the electroluminescence light emitting layer function is vacuum deposited and a polymer layer formed while polymerizing the monomer to an extent which is possible for photoetching is subjected to patterning treatment by photoetching and, thereafter, polymerization is completed to form a patterned light emitting layer.
