A vitamin preparation, comprising a particulate core substance containing vitamin C and, entirely surrounding each core particle, a coating material layer of agglomerated particles of one or more finely particulate lipids having a melting point of at least 40°C; characterised in that the core substance comprises at least 10% by weight vitamin C, and in that the coating material comprises 0.5 to 10% by weight vitamin E.
