Ferromagnetic thin film magnetic field sensor
Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a ferromagnetic, thin-film magnetic field sensor for reading data stored magnetically. This magnetic field sensor has at least two ferromagnetic layers, which are separated by an intermediate layer and consist of materials which result in a reverse-parallel setting of the magnetisation directions of the two ferromagnetic layers. The object of the invention is to create a magnetic field sensor using material combinations which differ from those known. An intermediate layer of copper or of an alloy on a copper base is provided to achieve this object. The thickness of this intermediate layer is in the range between 0.4 - 10 nm. <IMAGE>
