Abstract

Abstract PCT No. PCT/CH90/00293 Sec. 371 Date Sep. 11, 1991 Sec. 102(e) Date Sep. 11, 1991 PCT Filed Dec. 27, 1990 PCT Pub. No. WO91/10485 PCT Pub. Date Jul. 25, 1991.A ski binding support (2) comprises a securing piece (8) which is fixedly connected to the ski (1) and serves for securing one end of a support plate (7) with the ski binding mounted thereon, and a guiding piece (9) which is also fixedly connected to the ski and wherein the other end of the support plate (7) is guided in a longitudinally freely movable manner. The support plate (7) is formed of a cover plate (17) having two narrowed, offset tongues (21, 22) which extend into the securing piece (8) and into the guiding piece (9), respectively. A base plate (18) disposed below support plate (7) rests upon the upper surface of the ski. The support plate with a ski binding mounted thereon, is easily and quickly detachable and attachable to the ski while conserving the bending capacity thereof in that there is free longitudinal guidance at one end of support plate (17). A rubber shock absorber interposed between support plate (7) and base plate (18) results in a substantial reduction of shocks imparted to a ski boot attached to the binding.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 131 words
Ski binding support, comprising holder elements which are mountable on a ski and a support plate on which a ski binding is attachable, said support plate being held in a longitudinally movable manner at one end by a guiding element, and fixedly at the other end by a securing element, characterised in that said guiding element (9) comprises two side walls having each a guiding channel (25) and that said securing element (8) comprises securing means, in such a manner that one end of said support plate (7) is slidable into and out of said guiding element (9) and the other end thereof is attachable to or removable from said securing element (8) by said securing means on site by means of simple tools such as a coin or a screwdriver.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 27 words
Ski binding support according to claim 1, characterised in that said support plate (7) comprises a rubber-elastic shock absorber element (19) on its side facing the ski.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 131 words
Ski binding support according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that said securing element (8) comprises a U-shaped securing rail (10) having angled ends (12) which is mountable on the ski and provided in its center with a peg (13), and which comprises a secured slide-on cover (14), and in that said guiding element (9) is mountable on the ski and provided with two sidewalls having a respective guiding channel (25) each, both ends of said support plate (17, 27) being terminated by a respective narrower tongue (21, 22) one of which (21) is provided with an opening (23) corresponding to said peg (13) of said securing element and fits into said securing rail (8), and the other tongue (22) fitting into said guiding element (9) and being slidable therein.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 35 words
Ski binding support according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that said tongues (21,22; 30,35) are cranked with respect to the center portion (20; 28) of said support plate (7; 27).
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 96 words
Ski binding support according to any one of claims 1 to 4, for use with a touring ski, characterised in that said tongue (30) which has an opening (23) and fits into the securing element (8) mounted at the tips of the feet is connected to the center portion (28) of said support plate (27) by an articulation, and in that the rearward tongue (35) is connected to said center portion (28) of said support plate (27) in a longitudinally movable manner by way of a stop screw (36) which slides in a longitudinal slot (37).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 34 words
Ski binding support according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that said cover (14) of said securing element (8) and said guiding element (9) are made of a synthetic material.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 50 words
Ski binding support according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that said support plate (7, 27) is formed of a cover plate (17; 33) comprising said tongues (21,22; 30,35), and of a base plate (18; 32), said rubber-elastic shock absorber element (19, 34) being disposed therebetween.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 35 words
Ski binding support according to claim 7, characterised in that said base plate (18; 32) is made of a sliding synthetic material, and in that said shock absorber element (19, 34) has a frame-shaped configuration.
