Pressure-activated valve
Abstract
Abstract In a known pressure-activated valve, in order to be able to release a large flow opening, a large force and hence a strong spring for closing this flow opening are necessary. <??>In the new pressure-activated valve (60) according to the invention, an effective pressure area (85), i.e. the area on which a pressure difference which opens the valve acts, is completely independent of the flow opening (100) which can be opened. The effective pressure area (85) and the flow opening (100) which can be opened can be selected at will within wide limits, independently of one another. <??>The pressure-activated valve according to the invention is preferably suitable for shock absorbers. <IMAGE>
