Interface between two electrical circuits operating under different supply voltages

Abstract

Abstract An interface between two electrical circuits (I, II) operating at different operating voltages (UB, UV), the input level (UR) of the receiving circuit (II) proportionally tracking the fluctuating operating voltage (UB) of the transmitting circuit (I). The output signal (Ue) of the transmitting circuit (I) is compared with the input level (UR) in a comparator which is formed by a transistor (T). Depending on the connection of the output signal (Ue) and of the input level (UR) to the transistor (T), an inverting or non-inverting interface circuit having few inexpensive components and requiring little space is produced. <IMAGE>
