Abstract

Abstract Electrostatic imaging apparatus comprises a plurality of electrostatic radiators, signal generating means for driving said radiators to produce an electrostatic field having characteristics modifiable by the presence of an object within the field, and electrostatic signal detection and processing means, the latter of which produces output signals representative of a surface profile of the object.
