Abstract

Abstract A disk drive adapter tray (200) is provided for facilitating the mounting of a first size disk drive in a bay of a computer wherein the bay is capable of housing a second size disk drive which is larger than the first size disk drive. The tray includes a main body on which the first size disk drive is mountable. The main body includes first and second opposed side surfaces. First and second substantially parallel rails (320, 325) are integrally formed into the first and second side surfaces, respectively, of the main body. The first and second rails extending outwardly away from the first and second surfaces in opposite directions to engage rail guides situated within the bay in which the adapter tray is to be mounted.
