Abstract

To reduce the environmental impact when refueling vehicles, to increase safety and tank comfort, as well as to make faulty or illegal refueling more difficult, a refueling process and a device for it are specified that can be used simply and economically both in new construction and for retrofitting petrol stations. The refueling device with vehicle lane is equipped with a dispensing unit (23) with a pumping station, flow meter, with an extendable filling hose (42, 40, 40, 40.2) assigned to the fuel types with a dispenser (41.1, 41.2) that can be removed for use. and provided with detection means for the tank authorization via a computer unit which, in addition to the authorization code, communicates the vehicle identification with details of the fuel type and the fuel nozzle position of the computer unit and is forwarded to the delivery unit. Then the manipulator (26, 27) of this dispensing unit picks up the nozzle, which is designed as a filling head (43.1), places it in a position corresponding to the position of the tank neck (14) and introduces it into the tank neck provided with an openable closure, whereupon the dispenser opens the fueling valve; After the tank has been filled, the delivery unit (23) receives a signal that stops the fuel supply, which in turn triggers the reverse movement of the manipulator, whereupon the manipulator removes the filling head from the tank neck, returns it to the starting position and places it in the deposit and returns even in the rest position.
