Abstract The invention proposes an audio/video apparatus of the type comprising a housing which can be folded up like a case, having a housing cover part (2) for receiving a flat screen as well as a housing bottom part (1) for receiving operator control elements (11), a picture-recording and picture-reproducing device as well as additional connectors (21) for connecting to peripheral devices, the two housing parts (1, 2) being connected to each other by means of a hinge (3), which accommodates stereo loudspeakers (4a, 4b), and the audio/video apparatus additionally being provided with a TV receiving section/reproducing section and a CD playing device (13). While being a multi-purpose unit, more than just an audio/video recorder, the audio/video apparatus according to the invention is of a compact design, combining the functions of a television, video recorder and CD player. …<IMAGE>…
