Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 12
Claim 1
Independent Claim 105 words
A method for outputting location-dependent information for passengers of a non-track-bound vehicle, in which the direction of travel and the travel path are detected and the respective location is continuously determined by navigational means and is compared with possible locations recorded in a stored street map and the current location within the street map is determined therefrom, wherein triggering points are additionally stored in the stored street map, wherein whenever the current location of the vehicle within the street map corresponds to a triggering point a specific item of information which is dependent on the triggering point is called up from an information reproducing device.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 26 words
The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the triggering points are combined to form groups and one or more of these groups are activated separately.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 41 words
The method as claimed in claim 1 or 2, wherein the triggering points are updated automatically in the case of changes and/or at regular time intervals and/or in the case of actuation of a group, preferably by means of data transmission.
Claim 4
Independent Claim 55 words
The method as claimed in one or more of claims 1 - 3, wherein, in the case of vehicles for scheduled services, the triggering points are changed as a function of the density of the traffic and/or of the time of day and/or of the occupancy factor of the vehicle and/or a desire to disembark.
Claim 5
Independent Claim 50 words
The method as claimed in one or more of claims 1 - 4, wherein an audible and/or visual outputting of information of the information reproducing device, such as the announcement of a stop, indication of sights, or the presentation of a local map is brought about by the triggering signal.
Claim 6
Independent Claim 53 words
The method as claimed in one or more of claims 1 -4, wherein a location-specific transmitter table which is contained in a transmitter-identification memory of a vehicle radio receiver is selected by the triggering signal in order to bring about a selection of a desired transmitter accompanied by valuation of the location coordinates.
Claim 7
Independent Claim 143 words
A device for outputting location-dependent information for passengers of a non-track-bound vehicle, with means for dectecting the direction of travel and the travel path of the vehicle in order to determine its location, with a memory (14) for a street map, and with a control device (16) which continuously compares possible locations of the vehicle with the determined location and identifies the current location within the street map, wherein the memory (14) comprises additional memory areas (18) for triggering points arranged in the street map, wherein the control device (16) compares the current location of the vehicle with triggering points stored in the additional memory area (18) and, in the event of a triggering point corresponding to the current location, outputs, by means of an information reproducing device, an item of information which is assigned to this triggering point and is also stored.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 45 words
The device as claimed in claim 7, wherein the area (18), which stores the data of the triggering points, of the memory (14) is divided into logical sub-areas (20, 22, 24) in which data, combined in each case into groups, of triggering points are stored.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 77 words
The device as claimed in claim 7 or 8, wherein the memory area (18) for the triggering points are designed so as to be capable of being overwritten, and in the case of changes and/or at regular time intervals and/or in the case of a group being activated, the control device (16) automatically writes into the memory area (18) updated data of the triggering points, which data have preferably been received by means of long-distance data transmission.
Claim 10
Independent Claim 100 words
The device as claimed in one or more of claims 7 - 9, wherein in the case of vehicles for scheduled services the data of the triggering points can be changed by means of the control device (16) as a function of the density of traffic and/or the time of day and/or the occupancy factor of the vehicle and/or a desire to disembark, and wherein measurement and/or reception devices for the density of traffic and/or the time of day and/or the occupancy factor of the vehicle and/or a stop-request key are provided and are connected to the control device (16).
Claim 11
Independent Claim 68 words
The device as claimed in one or more of claims 7 - 10, wherein the information reproducing device (10) and/or the control device (16) comprises a memory for location-dependent audible and/or visual information such as information on stops, indications of sights, advertising or presentations of local maps, which information is logically assigned to specific triggering points in the street map and can be reproduced by the triggering signal.
Claim 12
Independent Claim 56 words
The device as claimed in one or more of claims 7 - 10, wherein the control device (16) is connected to a control apparatus of a vehicle radio receiver which comprises a transmitter identification memory, and wherein a location-specific transmitter table which is contained in this memory can be selected by means of the triggering signal.
