Abstract

Abstract A non-reusable syringe characterized by the provision on the inner surface of the syringe cylinder of a successive series of reliefs on the internal diameter, comprising a first relief immediately at the mouth of the plunger entry, this having a conicity at entry and a flat retaining step, a second relief in the proximity of the extremity of the cylinder which also consists of a conical entry followed by a flat retention step, acting to retain the piston head once utilized and finally a third zone in conical form and separated from the second above mentioned zone by a safety zone which is capable of lodging the piston head after the syringe has been used the retention being by a braking operation and an antiretro stop in the third and second zones respectively.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim 133 words
1,- A non-reusable syringe, characterized by the provision on the inner surface of the syringe cylinder of a successive series of reliefs on the internal diameter, comprising a first relief immediately at the mouth of the plunger entry, this having a conicity at entry and a flat retaining step, a second relief in the proximity of the extremity of the cylinder which also consists of a conical entry followed by a flat retention step, acting to retain the piston head once utilized and finally a third zone in conical form and separated from the second above mentioned zone by a safety zone which is capable of lodging the piston head after the syringe has been used the retention being by a braking operation and antiretro stop in the third and second zones respectively.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 133 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 53 words
- A non- reusable syringe as in claim 1, characterized by the fact that the plunger consists in part of a conic hood which is expansible and capable of maintaining contact with the interior surface of the cylinder, being joined to the stem of the plunger by a dimensionally controlled thin safety member.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 39 words
A non-reusable syringe as in claim 2, characterized by the procedure in which the thickness of the safety member is determined by a cavity formed in the front face of the hood, thus forming a zone of controlled fracture.
