Abstract

A multi-pole plug-in device is proposed, which is used to connect a cable harness connected to units to be controlled in a motor vehicle to an electrical switching device in motor vehicles. The connector (19) of the plug device is provided with a short-circuit bridge (29), which is arranged on the contact carrier (20) with simple means to save space and costs and, when the connector (19) is removed by short-circuiting associated contact parts (4), prevents that by Connecting current-carrying devices, for example test devices or by touching or tools of a fitter, contact pairs can be driven in an undesirable manner by electrostatic charging on the wiring harness.
