Abstract
Abstract To reduce the amount of heat which accumulates in a vacuum fluorescent display tube unit, a heat sink in the form of heat conductive plate is secured to the unit. In addition to this measure IR radiation reflective or transparent layers are appropriately arranged to prevent the heat radiation from entering the tunnel like housing arrangement in which the unit is disposed and/or impinging thereon. To reduce double images which tend to be produced, either a non-reflective coating is provided on the windshield or the masking in the display tube unit modified in manner wherein the main image is such as to merge with the secondary one and produce a single aesthetic one.
