Abstract Translated from German Ortungs- und Navigationssystem für Kraftfahrzeuge in dem aus zwischen den mobilen Funkstationen (M1, M2) und den ortsfesten Funkstationen (F1, F2) ausgetauschten Informationen dem ungefähren Aufenthaltsort der mobilen Funkstationen entsprechende Standortinformationen gebildet werden, mit denen der jeweils relevante Landkartenausschnitt automatisch ausgewählt wird. Location and navigation system for motor vehicles in which the location of the mobile radio stations is approximated from the information exchanged between the mobile radio stations (M1, M2) and the fixed radio stations (F1, F2), with which the relevant map section is automatically selected.
