Process for manufacturing of a flexible closing member, especially a heart valve
Abstract
A method for producing flexible closing elements, in particular artificial heart valves (10), and a flexible closing element, in particular an artificial heart valve (10), which can be produced using such a method, are described. In the manufacturing process, the housing (4, 11) of the closing element is expanded radially, the closing element (12) of the closing element is shaped as an essentially flat surface element and the flat surface element is connected to the housing (4, 11) in the expanded state. This method is preferably carried out as an immersion method, in which the closing element (12) is formed and molded onto the housing (4, 11) in a single working step. The described flexible closing element is an artificial three-sail heart valve (10), which is characterized by a special shape of the three closing elements (12).
