Claim 1
Independent Claim 52 words
A protective device for a hermetic motor-driven compressor which comprises a protective device main body (5) and an insulating layer (6) made of a heat-resisting insulating material, characterized in that said insulating material has a heat-resisting temperature of 155°C or higher and in that said insulating layer (6) encloses said main body.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 52 words
A protective device for a hermetic motor-driven compressor which comprises a protective device main body (5) and an insulating layer (6) made of a heat-resisting insulating material, characterized in that said insulating material has a heat-resisting temperature of 155°C or higher and in that said insulating layer (6) encloses said main body.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 19 words
The protective device according to claim 1, characterized in that said insulating layer (6) is an aromatic polyamide sheet.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 26 words
The protective device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said insulating sheet (6) has its end portions (8a, 8b) melt-bonded by ultrasonic welding.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 45 words
The protective device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said insulating layer (6) is formed from a cylindrically shaped insulating sheet into a bag to receive therein said main body (5) by melt-bonding opposing end portions (8a, 8b) of said insulating sheet.
