Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of aqueous, oxidative-drying emulsions of esters of epoxy resins containing fatty acid radicals, which can be employed as binders for air-drying or forced-drying lacquers. The epoxy resin esters are prepared by reacting an epoxy resin fatty acid partial ester with a fatty acid-methacrylic acid copolymer. If desired, the binder contains a basic added resin in mixed or partially reacted form. The additive improves the rheological properties and the shelf life.
