Abstract Translated from German Verbindungen der Formel worin Z eine einfache Kovalenzbindung oder -CH₂CH₂- darstellt; R¹ Alkyl oder 2-Alkenyl bezeichnet; und R² 1E-Alkenyl, 3E-Alkenyl, 4-Alkenyl, (2-Alkenyl)oxy­methyl oder, wenn R¹ 2-Alkenyl bezeichnet und/oder Z -CH₂CH₂- darstellt, auch Alkyl, Cyano oder Alkoxy­methyl bedeutet, sowie deren Herstellung und deren Verwendung in flüssig­kristallinen Gemischen und für elektro-optische Zwecke. Compounds of the formula wherein Z represents a single covalent bond or -CH₂CH₂-; R¹ denotes alkyl or 2-alkenyl; and R² denotes 1E-alkenyl, 3E-alkenyl, 4-alkenyl, (2-alkenyl) oxymethyl or, if R¹ denotes 2-alkenyl and / or Z represents -CH₂CH₂-, also denotes alkyl, cyano or alkoxymethyl, as well as their production and their use in liquid-crystalline mixtures and for electro-optical purposes.
