Abstract

Abstract Improvements which consist of using the centrifugal technique with a liquid plastic, for example a polyurethane elastomer, in combination with a cylindrical, rotary mould (1), open on one of its front faces (6), which is equipped on its inner side surface with a series of grooves (7) which are occupied by the liquid plastic while the mould turns by means of its shaft (2).

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim 117 words
- "IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURE OF TRANSMISSION BELTS", characterized because in the interior of a cylindrical mould (1), open on one of its front faces (6) and closed on the opposite face, which has a series of circular grooves (7) in its internal side surface, liquid plastic is poured in and the mould is then rotated for a time, in that the liquid plastic adheres to the internal side surface of the mould and to the grooves contained in it as a result of the centrifugal force, thus forming closed circular units inside the mould, in that the set material is taken out of the mould and cut into sections according to the size of belt desired.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 117 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 28 words
- "IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURE OF TRANSMISSION BELTS", in accordance with the above claim, characterized because the mould is, preferably, heated to between 40 and 80 degrees Centigrade.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 23 words
- "IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURE OF TRANSMISSION BELTS", in accordance with claim 1, characterized because the liquid plastic is, preferably, a polyurethane elastomer.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 74 words
- "IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURE OF TRANSMISSION BELTS", characterized because the mould (1) is cylindrically shaped, with its rear face closed and connected to a driving shaft (2), and with its front face open to allow the liquid plastic to enter, in that the internal side surface of the mould is equipped with a series of recesses which will correspond with the shape of the drawing or contact face of belt to be produced.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 74 words
- "IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURE OF TRANSMISSION BELTS", characterized because the mould (1) is cylindrically shaped, with its rear face closed and connected to a driving shaft (2), and with its front face open to allow the liquid plastic to enter, in that the internal side surface of the mould is equipped with a series of recesses which will correspond with the shape of the drawing or contact face of belt to be produced.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 33 words
- "IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURE OF TRANSMI SSION BELTS", in accordance with claim 4, characterized because the diameter of the internal side surface of the mould is, preferably, between 250 and 500 millimetres.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 45 words
- "IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURE OF TRANSMISSION BELTS", in accordance with claim 4, characterized because the number of grooves on the inside of the mould is greater than the number of projections of a belt to be carried out and preferably a multiple of this.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 32 words
- "IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURE OF TRANSMISSION BELTS", in accordance with claim 4, characterized because the front face of the mould is equipped with a small circular skirt like a circular crown.
