Method and apparatus for automatically testing an accumulator containing at least one cell in an uninterrupted power plant

Abstract

Abstract The invention concerns a process and a device for automatic testing of an accumulator system of an interruption-free power supply installation, comprising at least one individual accumulator. To monitor and test the individual accumulators of the accumulator system, an additional accumulator is connected in parallel with an individual accumulator which is then removed from the accumulator system. The accumulator can then be tested and interchanged if found to be defective. The invention makes it possible to interchange individual accumulators with known defects while maintaining the possibility of an emergency power supply in the event of a blackout in the mains network.
