Machine tool for working squared beams
Abstract
Abstract A machine tool for working squared beams (5), in particular structural timber, having a plurality of working machines (32, 36) is simplified and improved as regards accident safety and collection of waste wood by the fact that the working machines (32, 36 inter alia) are combined in one working station arranged above the conveying path (3, 4). The machines are seated, pivotable about tilting axles (33, 34), on vertical slides (27, 28) which are mounted on a horizontal slide (21). This supporting slide combination as a whole is rotatably mounted about a vertical axis (10) on an upper slide (7) movable transversely to the conveying path (3, 4). The squared beam (5) is firmly clamped during working between a horizontal clamping rail (45) on the supporting slide combination and a revolving table (2) which is mounted on a supporting frame (18), suspended from the upper slide (7), and revolves synchronously with the supporting slide combination about the vertical axis (10). A horizontal clamping device (51) on a feed conveyor (3) brings the beam (5) into the working position. <IMAGE>
