Abstract There is an extinguishing medium tender (1) described, having a driver or crew compartment (2) and a loading space (2) and a vehicle chassis (4) bearing a front (5) and at least one rear (6) wheel axle and having an extinguishing medium tank (9) mounted low in the space between the wheel axles (5, 6), said tank extending on both sides and underneath the vehicle chassis (4) and being rigidly suspended from the latter at one point by means of a cross member (23) and at another point via a hinge (26). <IMAGE>
