Abstract
Abstract An optical disc cartridge housing a magneto optical disc, comprising an opening (5) in the case (1) for access of a magnetic head which joins with a notch (15b) at an end surface of the case. A notch (17) coordinating with the opening (5) is formed at a shutter (2) when the shutter is at a position for opening. Thereby, it is unnecessary for the magnetic head (10) to rise and fall when the optical disc cartridge is inserted into the optical disc driving unit, and the magnetic head (10) accesses the magneto optical disc.

An optical disc cartridge comprising, a case (1) having a first opening (4) in one surface for an optical head (11) and a second opening (5) in another surface for a magnetic head (10), the second opening joining with a notch (15b) at an end surface thereof, and a shutter (2) having said case therebetween joining an end thereof, which shutter moves freely from a position for closing the first and second openings to a position for opening said openings, and has a notch (17) coordinating with said second opening (5) when said shutter is at said position for opening.
