Abstract
Abstract A process for the preparation of a prosthetic device using a CAD/CAM system to effect polymerisation of a photo-polymerisable composition by subjecting it to suitable electromagnetic radiation to cure it in the shape and size of the desired prosthetic device. Preferably the polymerisation is effected such that adjacent lamellae are cohesively integrated as they are formed.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
128 words
A process for the preparation of a prosthetic device which process comprises the steps of: Step A: generating an image of the recipient zone which is to receive the prosthetic device; Step B: designing the prosthetic device from the image; Step C: translating the shape and size of the prosthetic device designed in Step B into commands that are appropriate for controlling a source of electromagnetic radiation; Step D: delivering the commands from Step C to, and to control, the source of electromagnetic radiation such that a beam therefrom defines the shape and size of the prosthetic device; and Step E: exposing a fluid addition-polymerisable compostion to the beam from Step D such that a solid of the shape and size of the prosthetic device is prepared therefrom.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
