Abstract
Abstract An impervious junction for a piping system consisting of butt- jointed pipes (1, 2), having an external fixing part, for the piping of gases, a spacer ring (4) being bonded between two pipe ends as a seal, a bandage (5) being wound around these pipe ends, and this bandage (5) being fixed by a clamping strip (6) which is tightened around the bandage (5) and the pipe ends with the aid of tensioning means. This junction is particularly suitable for glass pipes. <IMAGE>
