Abstract

When cleaning and disinfecting heat and corrosion sensitive medical devices, especially endoscopes a) the surfaces of the endoscopes to be treated with a cleaning and disinfectant solution containing a low-foaming nonionic surfactant, a proteolytic enzyme, a complexing agent, an aldehyde from the group consisting of formaldehyde and aliphatic dialdehydes with 2 to 8 carbon atoms and, if appropriate, other customary cleaning agents and contains disinfectant constituents and has a pH of 6 to 8, brought into contact, the cleaning solution heated to 55 to 65 ° C., kept at this temperature for 1 to 15 minutes and then separated off, b) the surfaces to be treated are rinsed at least twice with water, the water being heated to 55 to 65 ° C. at least in the last rinse cycle, and c) dried with sterilized hot air at 40 to 60 ° C. Dabei wird in den Schritten a) und b) Wasser mit einer Härte von 3 bis 8 °d eingesetzt. In steps a) and b), water with a hardness of 3 to 8 ° d is used.
