Method for the observation of a scene and apparatus therefor
Abstract
The observation of a scene with an infrared image system (FLIR) takes place simultaneously with two optical channels of different fields of view (WFOV, NFOV) and thus different magnifications, with an image detail from the small one in the image of the overall scene and thus in the 1: 1 display Field of view (NFOV) is faded in and this mixed image is made visible on a single image display device (D). The image section can be tracked by tracking the relative movement of an object. For a one-man observation, the method enables a higher level of detail to be recognized at a greater distance, without losing the 1: 1 display.
