Abstract

Abstract Teleprinting system, at a telephone user comprising an apparatus formed by a microprocessing unit (12) connected to a telephone line (16) through a modulating-demodulating or modem system (14). Data transmission messages are distinguished from standard telephone messages for example by means of differences in the ring signal. The received data are sent to a printer, (22) to a display (38) or, through an interface circuit (30) to an outer computer, and by which messages are received from an optical reader (34) or from a keyboard (42) for their transmission through the modem unit (14) to the corresponding apparatus of an agency or individual connected in order to embody said interaction. Said teleprinting system is particularly suitable to embody telebilling or teleinvoicing methods from service agencies to an end user.

Claim 10
Dependent Claim 45 words
Teleprinting apparatus according to claim 5, characterized in that as a further alternative, said optical reader 34 can be used, instead of providing an answer to requests of an agency, to sent messages of personal communication to other users or requests of information to agencies.
Claim 11
Independent Claim 124 words
A method for the use of tele-print apparatus at a telephone user which can be used to permit the billing and the payments of meter measurable services in which an agency (120) makes the reading data of meters to arrive, and relating the measurement of products, or services supplied to each single used, to an accounting computer (126) characterized in that said computer sends through the telephone line (152) a billing message to each user provided with said teleprinting apparatus, said apparatus comprising a receiving modem (154) a computing and printing unit (156) adapted to print the billing data onto a form (157), which can be used to carry out a payment of bills according to one of a standard methods for said payments.
