Compact disc package

Abstract

Abstract A package for a single compact disc (2) is to be provided which can be produced with less expenditure than previously, does not break when dropped, allows printing on the outside surface and can be produced with the same external dimension as previous cassettes. According to the invention, a carrier (1), receiving the cassette, is constructed as a self-supported deep-drawn plastic part for filling insertion in a folding box (21) consisting of art print cardboard. It is thus achieved that the covering of the package can be produced at the same time from impact-resistant and printable material and, despite this, the compact disc is accommodated in a protective carrier (1). <IMAGE>
