Protection box for a connection area for medical use

Abstract

Abstract This box is of the type comprising two female moulds (3, 4) made of synthetic material, cast en bloc and articulated on one another along a line (5) corresponding to a thinned area of material and comprising, on faces other than that presenting the articulation, elastic closure means. The two female moulds are each lined with foam (12) intended to be soaked with antiseptic agent, and they comprise impressions (14) for fitting a valve (6) or a set of valves, the walls of the box comprising complementary cutouts (10) which, in the closed position of the box, are designed to delimit openings for the passage of the tubes connected to the area. According to the invention, the female mould (3) constituting the base is equipped with means (13) for removable fixation of the connection area. <IMAGE>
