Catalyst for exhaust gas with metallic monolith
Abstract
Abstract A catalyst for exhaust gas, having a metallic monolith with a honeycomb structure, the metallic monolith having a cylindrical monolith jacket, projecting at the ends and consisting preferably of steel, which is connected to exhaust gas inlet and outlet funnels and is supported in a metallic outer housing, surrounded by thermal insulation, the metallic monolith being supported in the outer housing, which is of supporting design, by means of a surrounding mineral fibre mat and the transition between the monolith jacket and the funnel or between the sections (divided in a radial lateral plane) of the outer housing being designed as a sliding seat and the monolith which is not provided with a jacket being axially and radially fixed only by means of a spring mat, roughened surfaces and spirals or steel rings. <IMAGE>
