Abstract

Abstract This filter comprises a body (10) defining a vessel (101) to which access is obtained via an orifice (102) closed by a cover (103) and which is intended to house a filter cartridge (20). <??>This filter is characterised in that the body (10) is made of two half-shells (110,120) joined along a joint plane (100) passing through the vessel (101), in that the passage orifice (102) for the filter cartridge (20) straddles the joint plane (100) and in that locating means (30) are carried by the body (10) so as to make it possible to insert or to remove the cartridge (20) using a translation approximately parallel to the joint plane (100) and its fitting or its withdrawal by a travel approximately perpendicular to this joint plane (100). <??>Application to motor vehicle engines. <IMAGE>
