The present invention relates to an electronic rain detection device comprising a sensor (1) constituted by an insulating support (11) carrying, on the face exposed to the rain, two electrodes (2, 2) in the form of nested combs, one in the other and an associated electronic circuit (6), characterized in that the support (11) carrying the electrodes (2, 3) is coated with a thin layer (4) of waterproof material having dielectric properties covering said electrodes.
