Abstract

Abstract Conveyor device for articles, in particular articles of revolution and more particularly fruit and vegetables, which is designed in order to align them and to drive them in rotation about their own axis during their displacement in translation, characterised in that it comprises: - two longitudinal cylinders (10, 12) with parallel axes, driven in rotation in the same direction about their respective longitudinal axes and on which are disposed the articles (14) to be aligned and - a progression system (16) disposed between the two cylinders, which comprises a plurality of elements of revolution in particular such as balls (18), moving in a movement of translation between the said cylinders, the spacing between the said elements of revolution such as balls being determined such that an article to be aligned can take its place between two successive balls, the objects to be aligned being driven in rotation in the opposite direction from the movement of rotation of the cylinders and they are pushed parallel to the axes of the cylinders along the latter by the said elements of revolution such as balls which position themselves on one of the poles of the article, the latter stabilising itself in a movement of rotation about its own axis while continuing to advance in this position along the said cylinders. <IMAGE>
