Abstract Translated from German Supertwist-Flüssigkristallanzeigeelemente mit vorzüglicher Kennliniensteilheit werden erhalten, falls die nematische Flüssigkristallmischung folgenden Bedingungen genügt: - nematischer Phasenbereich von mindestens 60 °C, - Viskosität von 30 mPa.s oder darunter, und - Δε/ε ⊥ < 2.0, wobei Δε die dielektrische Aniso­tropie und ε ⊥ die Dielektrizitätskonstante in Richtung der kurzen Achse der Flüssigkristall­moleküle bedeutet.
