Abstract
Abstract A manufacturing interface system for use within a manufacturing system (10) composed of sub-systems, such as a design system (12), recipe generator (26) and workcell (14). Communication between sub-systems of information, such as designs and recipes, is accompanied by translating information used or produced by the sub-system from the sub-system's own format into a common representation format.
