Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to intrinsically electrically conductive polymers which are completely soluble in customary organic solvents at room temperature even in oxidised form and which contains structural units which are derived from at least one monomer of the formula (I) <IMAGE> in which R<1> represents a C6-C30-alkoxy group and R<2> represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C30-alkoxy group. The invention furthermore relates to a process for the preparation of these polymers by oxidative polymerisation of at least one monomer of this formula (I). The polymers according to the invention can be used in particular for coating purposes.
