Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a non-resinated woven or knitted three- dimensionally structured textile sheet material and a process for producing it by mechanical thermoforming. According to the invention, this textile sheet material is made of undrawn synthetic filament yarns and is mechanically thermoformed in such a way that the filament yarns become drawn or oriented, stabilising the structuring conferred on the sheet material.

Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim
54 words
A method for manufacturing a woven or knitted textile sheet material, characterised in that the textile sheet material is woven, knitted or braided from pre-stretched synthetic filamentary yarns, in particular of polyester, polyamide and polypropylene; and the textile sheet material is textured by means of further stretching through the application of pressure and heat.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
38 words
A method according to claim 1, characterised in that, filamentary or spun elements made from carbon, glass, aramid and/or natural fibres such as wool, cotton, cellulose fibres or a mixture thereof, are worked into the textile sheet material.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
19 words
A method according to claim 1 or 2 characterised in that the textile sheet material is textured by deep-drawing.
Claim 4
Independent Claim
44 words
A method according to at least one of the claims 1 to 3 characterised in that resin, in particular thermoset, thermoplastic, two component systems, light and radiation hardening systems and varnish, is applied to the textured textile sheet material by spraying, pouring or dipping.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
21 words
A method according to claim 4, characterised in that the resin is applied in situ to the textured textile sheet material.
