Abstract

As part of the development of future, integrated broadband networks, the design of the switching matrixes and switching matrix controls is particularly important. A number of different measures or combinations thereof are taken to avoid the occurrence of performance bottlenecks in the switching network. These are essentially: - The transmission rate of the switching matrix is increased due to structural changes. - The switching matrix is multiplied. - The input buffers are reorganized. - The allocation strategy is changed.
