Abstract

Abstract The invention relates principally to an ultrasonic probe and apparatus. The invention concerns an ultrasonic probe, for example a rectal probe, comprising a small bar of piezoelectric transducers (2) which are capable of being displaced. Advantageously, the rotation of the small bar (14) of piezoelectric transducers (2) makes it possible to bring the bar, in particular, into two perpendicular positions (14A and 14B). This makes it possible to form images when the scanning planes are perpendicular. The invention applies in particular to the production of ultrasonic probes. The invention applies principally to the production of medical probes, such as rectal probes. <IMAGE>
