Abstract

Abstract A retriggable multivibrator is disclosed which comprises a first delay circuit (3) connected for delaying an input signal a predetermined time, a second delay circuit (5) connected to receive an output of the first delay circuit and having a set or a rest function, a flip-flop circuit (2) connected to be set or reset in accordance with an input signal and output signal which comes from the second delay circuit (5) and control circuit (6) connected to detect a reentry of an input signal within a predetermined delay time of the first and second delay circuits and to set or reset the second delay circuit.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 135 words
A retriggable multivibrator characterized by: a first delay circuit (3, 43, 53, 73) connected to receive an input signal and to output that signal after being delayed a predetermined time: a second delay circuit (5, 45, 55, 75) connected to receive said signal from said first delay circuit and to output it after being delayed a predetermined time, said second delay circuit having a set or a reset function; a flip-flop circuit (2, 42, 52, 72) connected to be set or reset in accordance with said input signal and output signal from said second delay circuit; and a control circuit (4, 6, 46, 54, 56, 58) connected to detect a reentry of the input signal which has been delayed a predetermined time and to set or reset the second delay circuit (5, 45, 55, 75).
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 135 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 38 words
A retriggable multivibrator according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one of said first delay circuit (3, 43, 53, 73) and said second delay circuit (5, 45, 55, 75) is constituted by a variable delay circuit.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 52 words
A retriggable multivibrator according to claim 2, characterized in that said variable delay circuit controls a delay amount, as in the same way as the variable delay circuit (61), by an output of a low pass filter in a phase locked loop (60) which is phase locked to a reference frequency input.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 25 words
A retriggable multivibrator according to claim 1, characterized in that said flip-flop circuit (2, 42, 52, 72) is constituted by a set-priority type flip-flop circuit.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 50 words
A retriggable multivibrator according to claim 1, characterized in that said first delay circuit (3, 43, 53, 73), second delay circuit (5, 45, 55, 75) and flip-flop circuit (2, 42, 52, 72) are initialized by a clear signal which is generated upon the turning on of a power source voltage.
