Abstract

Abstract An air intake system adapted for a motor bicycle engine (15) generally comprises an air cleaner (17), a plurality of intake tubes (18a, 18b) connected to the air cleaner, and a plurality of carburetors (19a, 19b) connected to the intake tubes at angles different from each other with respect to the air cleaner. The intake tubes have lengths equal to each other and the carburetors have substantially the same outer configuration. The inner space of the air cleaner is divided into a dust side and a clean side which is also divided into a plurality of sections connected to the cylinders for the engine through the intake tubes and the carburetors, respectively. The motor bicycle is generally provided with a cowling covering the front portion of the motor bicycle body and the cowling (113) is provided with an air inlet port (117), a first duct (118) secured to an inside surface of the cowling and a second duct (120) secured to and along a frame member (103) of the motor bicycle. The second duct has an upstream end communicated with the downstream end of the first duct and a downstream end opened towards an inlet of an air cleaner.
