Method for the temperature compensation of a voltage-controlled quartz oscillator in a phase-locked loop

Abstract Translated from German Dem Quarzoszillator wird eine als Peltier-Element realisierbare Heiz- bzw. Kühleinrichtung zugeordnet und von einer Prozessor­einrichtung (PZE) mit Hilfe einer Temperaturmeßeinrichtung (TS) derart angesteuert, daß der Quarz eine von zwei ausgewählten, der Umgebungstemperatur nächstgelegenen Temperaturen aufweist. Für jede der aus einem Betriebstemperaturbereich ausgewählten Quarztemperaturen ist in einem Speicher der Prozessoreinrich­tung (PZE) ein Kompensationswert gespeichert. Dieser Kompen­sationswert bewirkt die Kompensation der Frequenzabweichungen des Quarzoszillators, die durch Temperaturschwankungen verur­sacht werden. The quartz oscillator is assigned a heating or cooling device which can be implemented as a Peltier element and is controlled by a processor device (PZE) with the aid of a temperature measuring device (TS) in such a way that the quartz has one of two selected temperatures which are closest to the ambient temperature. A compensation value is stored in a memory of the processor device (PZE) for each of the quartz temperatures selected from an operating temperature range. This compensation value compensates for the frequency deviations of the quartz oscillator, which are caused by temperature fluctuations.
