Aircraft ground-handling vehicle with an actuating device for the swinging support plates
Abstract
A towing vehicle for aircraft has a lifting device which grips and lifts the nose wheel with two lifting blades which can be pivoted in from behind the nose wheel by the two side legs of the fork-shaped chassis of the vehicle. The lifting vane is pivotally mounted on a rocker that can be rotated about a horizontal axis and driven by a lifting cylinder. A separate hydraulic swivel drive is provided for swiveling each lifting blade. The pressure increase occurring in this swivel drive when the end stop of the swivel path is reached is used to control the supply of hydraulic medium to the pressure cylinder. A crank arm actuated by the swivel motor is connected to a swivel arm of the lifting blade via a coupling link, the arm lengths of the four-link transmission thus formed being selected such that the coupling link changes over to the other side of the crank arm axis before the crank arm reaches its end stop. As a result, the lifting blade is automatically locked in the pivoted-out position.
