Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim
66 words
A single use syringe comprising: an elongated hollow cylindrical barrel; plunger means mounted within said barrel for axial movement therein; nozzle means closing one end of the barrel; rod means integral with said plunger means extending beyond the barrel at the end opposite to the nozzle means; and control means mounted within the barrel permitting one complete cycle of the plunger and preventing any further movement.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
14 words
A syringe as in Claim 1, wherein the nozzle means is an injection needle.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
44 words
A syringe as in Claim 1, wherein the control means comprises a resilient disc or flute placed on the plunger means and permitting relative motion in only one direction and contacting the interior of the barrel and permitting relative motion in only one direction.
Claim 5
Independent Claim
76 words
A device for use in conjunction with a plastic syringe to allow selective adjustment of the volume, comprising: an insert placed between the plunger and the sidewall of a standard syringe, said insert being fabricated of a material harder than the material of the syringe and having a shape such that when in position it will prevent retraction of the plunger beyond the insert whereby appropriate placement of the insert determines the volume of the syringe.
Claim 6
Independent Claim

Claim 7
Dependent Claim
16 words
A device as in Claim 4, wherein the insert is in the form of a flute.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
17 words
A device as in Claim 4, wherein the insert is in the form of a bent wire.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
16 words
A device as in Claim 4, wherein the insert is in the form of a disc.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
21 words
A device as in Claim 4, wherein the insert is in the form of a plurality of interconnected diamond shaped devices.
