Anti-blocking system for vehicles
Abstract
The invention relates to an anti-lock braking system for vehicles, with electronics (1) which regulate the brake pressure of a monitored wheel as a function of the wheel speed in such a way that blocking is prevented. The system is switched in such a way that each wheel is assigned its own speed sensor and that both wheels of one axle are pressurized by a common control valve (8) controlled by the electronics (1). This arrangement corresponds to that of a select-low control. In order to shorten the longer braking distance that occurs with a select-low control on roads with different friction coefficients, the control is designed so that the electronics (1) do not switch to "lower pressure" as usual when a deceleration signal (-b) occurs , but at least until a slip signal (λ) occurs, the control valve (8) is switched to the "hold pressure" position.
