Abstract

Abstract Telephone apparatus in which a call may be made in response to utterances of operators without manually dialing by means of speech recognition function. Furthermore the telephone apparatus comprises storage means for storing patterns of speech signal so as to be reproduced and indication means for indicating information associated with the patterns of speech signal stored in the storage means. Also the telephone apparatus comprises difference detection means for detecting difference between feature parameters of each speech signal which have been already stored in storage means for speech recognition and feature parameters of a speech signal which is generated by users and indication means for indicating information associated with the difference detected by the difference detection means.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 190 words
Telephone apparatus comprising: telephone dial number input means for inputting a specific telephone dial number; first storage means for storing the inputted telephone dial number; speech input means responsive to a user's utterance for generating a corresponding digital speech signal associated with the telephone dial number; feature extracting means responsive to the digital speech signal for extracting predetermined feature parameters from the digital speech signals; second storage means for storing the feature parameters and address information corresponding to the stored telephone dial number associated with the digital speech signal; third storage means for storing the digital speech signal and address information corresponding to the stored telephone dial number associated with the digital speech signal; means for reproducing the digital speech signal for confirmation of the utterance corresponding to the digital speech signal; and call origination means for automatically originating a telephone call to the specific telephone dial number associated with a digital speech signal generated by the speech input means when the predetermined feature parameters of a stored digital speech signal are substantially identical to the predetermined feature parameters of the digital speech signal generated by the speech input means.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 190 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 40 words
The apparatus of claim 2 also including means responsive to input of a specific telephone dial number for indicating the utterance corresponding to the digital speech signal stored in the second storage means associated with the specific telephone dial number.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 15 words
The apparatus of claim 2 also including manual switch means for activating the indicating means.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 22 words
The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the reproducing means includes means for generating audible sounds corresponding to the stored digital speech signal.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 24 words
The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the reproducing means includes display means for visually displaying an image corresponding to the stored digital speech signal.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 178 words
Telephone apparatus comprising: telephone dial number input means for inputting a specific telephone dial number; first storage means for storing the inputted telephone dial number; feature extracting means responsive to the digital speech signal for extracting predetermined feature parameters from the digital signals; second storage means for storing the feature parameters and address information corresponding to the stored telephone dial number associated with the digital speech signal; call origination means for automatically originating a telephone call to the specific telephone dial number associated with a digital speech signal generated by the speech input means when the predetermined feature parameters of a stored digital speech signal are substantially identical to the predetemined feature parameters of the digital speech signal generated by the speech input means; means for detecting the differences between the predetermined feature parameters of the digital speech signal and feature parameters of corresponding each of a plurality of digital speech signals stored in the second storage means ; and means responsive to the detection means for indicating information associated with at least one of the detected differences.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 178 words
