Abstract Translated from German Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum hydrothermalen Hestellen von Natriumsilikat-Lösungen mit einem SiO₂: Na₂O-Gewichtsverhälntnis von 1,95 bis 1,6 : 1 durch Umsetzen von Sand, Natriumhydroxid und Wasser. Die Erfindung ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man den Sand im stöchiome­trischen Unterschuß im Vergleich zu dem Ansatz-Gewichtverhältnis 2 : 1 und bei Temperaturen zwischen 190 und 240°C umsetzt.
